CAPF for the Lok Sabha elections: The Lok Sabha polls 2024 will take place in West Bengal over seven stages, from April 19 to June 1. There will be a count of the votes on June 4.

A meeting will be led by Sharma to decide how the Central Armed Police Forces. (CAPF) will be deployed in the three Lok Sabha constituencies for the first phase of the elections on April 19.

Anand Kumar, who is the nodal police officer for West Bengal, and B.K. Sharma, who is the state supervisor for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

If you want to vote in the first round of elections on April 19, you can do so in Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, and Alipurduar.

West Bengal will have more than 170 CAPF companies.

“However, only 177 companies of the CAPF have been sent to West Bengal so far, leaving 123 more companies needed.” A source in the CEO office of West Bengal said, “As of now, they haven’t heard for sure when more CAPF companies will arrive in the state before the first phase of elections. That’s what the meeting on Saturday will be about.”

A report from ANI says that 3.40 lakh CAPF officers are expected to be sent out after the Lok Sabha elections. The elections to the state assemblies in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim.
